Leadership. Empathy. Results.

Chris Norris

How am I different from other fractional CTOs?

  1. Taking four startups in a row to an exit (one IPO and 3 acquisitions) - I know what it takes for a startup to be successful, and for it to have a multi-$100m valuation

  2. True executive and C-suite experience - I have been a CTO and VP of Engineering so understand what it takes to operate at those levels. Many ‘fractional CTO’ companies are just supplying a developer, not an executive

  3. Concrete practical experience that is business outcome-driven, not just theoretical knowledge - I have operated in the spectrum from “finding product-market fit” to “enterprise scale” and delivered results throughout

  4. Experience across a very broad set of verticals - healthcare, advertising, information security, social media, online communities, disaster recovery and business continuity, embedded operating systems and more

  5. Experience with different company sizes and stages - I have been an engineering leader at Series A, B, C and Public companies, from 10 employees to large enterprises, and can apply appropriate strategies for each stage

  6. People and culture are at the core of my strategies for success - a successful product and engineering organization is a combination of people and technology. Building a strong, impactful, “one team” mindset is critical

  7. I pay forward my success - I have long done pro-bono mentoring for up-and-coming engineering leaders, and now donate 10% of revenue from my fractional CTO business to non-profits and charities supporting under-represented minorities in STEM fields
